Roast Golden Brown Chicken

The QUIK-FIRE Recipe - Roast Golden Brown Chicken
 
 Chicken beer can holder
 Stainless steel cup
 A drinking glass
 Stainless steel dish
 
Pre heat your barbecue to around 180-200 degrees centigrade. Using the built in thermometer, adjust the gas burners until the temperature is fairly steady.
 
Clean and dry the chicken, in and out, with kitchen roll. Rub the chicken externally with Extra Virgin Olive Oil, and salt and pepper.
 
Insert the chicken cavity over the Chicken Beer Can Holder with the stainless cup, holding your preferred alcohol (i.e. beer of whiskey, and spices). The chicken legs should be facing down, looking as if it is sitting on a pole. Tuck the wings in for appearance.
 
Place the Chicken Beer Can Holder, complete with beer cup and chicken,  onto your barbecue, and close the lid of the barbecue to use as an oven. The cooking time should be in the region of 60 minutes, dependent on how you like your chicken cooked. A good rule of thumb is 20 minutes per pound, plus 20 minutes.
 
Last but not least, fill the drinking glass with the remainder of the beer, or whiskey, enjoy it while waiting for your chicken to cook.
 
Result:
Clean crisp skin, and succulent tender juicy meat inside, and a throat ready for another beer.
 
NOTE:
It is a good idea to use a stainless steel rectangular dish. If you place in the dish some beer, whiskey, or water in which to sit the Chicken Beer Can Holder, when cooking juices drip into the dish, keeping your pumice stones clean, and collecting the juices for gravy.

You may ad a bit of dried spices, and or, flavors such as, hot red pepper flakes, paprika, honey, or virtually any spice mixture you choose. Along with a few split cloves of fresh garlic.
